The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland has lead the flag plaza project since 2004, under the leadership of Rotarian Tom MacMillan.  The plaza was created to honour the people who work in the emergency "911" services area on both sides of the border.  The Canadian and US flags fly proudly in the plaza, while across the river in Port Huron, Michigan the flags of our two nations fly in honour of those who perished in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City.
The plaza provides recognition through family and memorial bricks and pavers that have become very popular with local residents as well as out of town visitors.
Note: The backlog of requests and the weather dictates our installation plans in the plaza. Applications for bricks or pavers received at this time may not be installed until Spring 2020.   Thank you for your patience.
