The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland provided support of $1,000 to the Shoebox Project from funds raised through our Jackpot City/OLG activities.
Annabelle Rayson, St. Patrick’s student, has spearheaded The Shoebox Project in Sarnia.  Over two hundred and fifty boxes were delivered last year to the community.  The boxes include socks, treats, hair productions, gift cards and other items that may help a homeless or at risk woman feel special.  This is a registered charity that collects and distributes gift filled Shoeboxes to women during the holiday season.  Shoebox gifts are distributed to the Women’s Interval Home, Sexual Assault Survivors Centre, Inn of the Good Shepherd and many other social organizations that support women.  Annabelle and her family facilitate this project locally.
