The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland has lead the flag plaza project since 2004, under the leadership of Rotarian Tom MacMillan.  The plaza was created to honour the people who work in the emergency "911" services area on both sides of the border.  The Canadian and US flags fly proudly in the plaza, while across the river in Port Huron, Michigan the flags of our two nations fly in honour of those who perished in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City.
The plaza provides recognition through family and memorial bricks and pavers that have become very popular with local residents as well as out of town visitors.
Note:  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there is no access to the plaza park to install the stones.   Installation of stones will not recommence until the pandemic emergency has been lifted.
Please stay healthy and well.
